I have had the rewarding experience of being professionally acquainted with Dr.Zamalieva since June of 2013, when I met this extraordinary psychotherapist for the first time at the Nineteenth World Congress on Viktor Frankl’s Logotherapy in Dallas, Texas. Since that occasion, Dr. Zamalieva and I have collaborated on a number of professional endeavors, presenting workshops in St. Petersburg, Russia, on the theory and practice of rational emotive behavior therapy and its integration with logotherapy. As a result, I have had the opportunity to observe and become acquainted with some of what I consider to be this candidate’s excellent qualities. I would like to enumerate some of these below.

From the very beginning of our mutually professional efforts, Dr. Zamalieva exhibited an extensive knowledge of counseling theory and practice. This was (and is) evident by her extensive training, knowledge, and expertise in psychoanalysis. Snezhana realizes, however, that the acquisition of knowledge is never ending, and as a result has continued her postgraduate training in both CBT and logotherapy. Her integration of these theories as both therapist and pedagogue is nothing short of brilliant. In addition to having had the honor of experiencing peer supervision with her, I have also witnessed her (during my two visits to St. Petersburg) teach sophisticated psychotherapeutic concepts and practices to a professional audience with the utmost grace, professionalism, and respect. She approaches her task as a teacher, student, and psychotherapist with profound humility despite her immense knowledge base and her expert skills as a clinician.
